Fall Sermon Series

WORSHIP… Where faith and life meet Worship is central to who we are as Christians, and in September and early October we as a congregation will take a closer look at this important faith practice.  Join us each week as we CONNECT our faith and life through worship and beyond.  Each week’s theme will be used the following Wednesday as well. September 12/13/16 ‘SPIRIT FEST WEEKEND” Theme: GATHER… together we celebrate the gift of being able to GATHER as God’s children.  September 19/20/23 Theme: WORD… Each week we gather around the WORD to listen, to grow, and to be transformed.  September 26/27/30 Theme: MEAL… The act of sharing a meal with others is a profound opportunity for hospitality and welcome.  On Sunday September 27th you are invited to a breakfast MEAL that will be served in the Fellowship Hall between 9:00-11:00am, and the Wednesday meal (each week) is served from 4:45-5:45pm. October 3/4/7 Theme: SENT… Worship extends into all of life as we are SENT out into the world.  After worship there will be an opportunity to serve others by making shoes for children in Uganda, through the organization called SOLE...

Ministry of Welcome

Enhancing Hospitality in new and creative ways!  One aspect will be to enhance hospitality and accessibility at a new Welcome Center.  A key part of the Welcome Center plan is to have members help out on a rotating basis and serve on weekday mornings for approximately 3 hours.  We are seeking 5-10 people who would be willing to serve by answering the phone, being a welcoming presence, and assisting with various office tasks such as mailings, etc.  We are seeking volunteers who have good people skills and a willingness to help.  If you are interested or want to learn more about this ministry, join Pr. Blom on Wednesday, September 9th at either 9:00am or 5:30pm in the Family Room.  If you have suggestions on how we can enhance hospitality in other areas, please come to the meeting with your...
