First Lutheran Church is poised to begin construction of our new church building in 2017. A leadership team is already working hard to plan our upcoming New Capital Appeal, which will enable this dream to become a reality. This plan will involve all of us—and it begins very soon.
We are asking all members of the congregation to participate in an assessment tool called: Missional Assessment Profile (MAP). This tool will help the church get a clear indication as to the culture of the congregation, the priorities, the outcomes of current ministry efforts and the potential for new ministry opportunities, as well as helpful demographic information.
You can participate by accessing this online survey via the internet, fill it out on paper, or get some help doing it online. We invite every confirmed member and supporter to participate. The online link is: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FirstLutheranAlexandriaMN2016. Paper copies are available at the Welcome Center or Church Office.
Your input is key to gaining insight into overall perceptions and experiences. Please set aside enough time to answer all the questions on the MAP. This will take about 15-20 minutes. All survey responses are strictly anonymous. Thank you for your participation.
Eagle Scout, Evan Schroeder and some friends from Pack 412 teamed up with First Lutheran Member, Betty Hiebel to put on a Wednesday evening meal at the church. Betty used a Thrivent Action Plan to provide seed money for this event and they raised over $600 at the meal. These funds will be donated to Evan’s Eagle Scout Project. Evan will be doing some landscaping work in front of the church building on Douglas Street.
