We have numerous opportunities for adults of all ages to connect and participate at First.  Whether your thing is singing, helping with Habitat, quilting, Bible study, or providing food for the people in need in our community, there is something for everyone.  We are also always open to new ideas of ways to connect, engage, and serve as well.

Monday Adult Bible Study

Every September we begin an adult Bible study that lasts for six or more weeks. There are several Adult Bible Studies that are offered throughout the year.

Trips

The Adult Ministry Board coordinates several trips each year, from trips to concerts and plays to travel experiences and sports’ events.  The Minnesota Twins, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Ordway, Black Hills, and New York City are only a few of the recent trips that have taken place.  The annual Mystery Trip is always a highlight.  Watch for details throughout the year to see which trips are offered and upcoming.

Food and Fellowship Groups

Food and Fellowship Groups are a great way to get to know more people in the congregation and to renew old friendships. The purpose of the group is to get to know one another over a simple meal. Participants are divided into groups, and then each group decide when to meet and what their “meal” will entail. Groups are formed each fall.

Your group may decide to:

  • Have a simple meal and “game night”
  • Have a snack and watch the Vikings
  • Order pizza or have potluck
  • Work in pairs, cook together
  • Have a brunch after church
  • Go out and eat

Adult Ministry Board

The Adult Ministry Board meets the second Monday of every month at 10:00 a.m. For more information, please contact Joyce Hansen, chair, at 320-763-3571.
