Music is an integral part of our ministry and worship at First.  Regardless of your musical background or experience, you are invited to take part in any of our musical offerings, including Chancel Choir, Kids’ Choir, bell choir, brass ensemble, or praise team.  In all these ways and more, there are opportunities for children, youth, and adults to participate in our music programs.  In addition, we regularly have vocalists and instrumentalists sing and play along with our worship services.  We strongly believe that in our music, God is glorified and that all “God’s creatures have a place in the choir.”

Family Music Classes (open to the  community)

Pastor Kari, Paula Odland and Leila Preston, will be teaching classes for parents, tots and preschoolers.  Music is one of God’s gifts and is deeply connected to our faith.  Making music is a wonderful thing for families to do together and paves the way for learning in many ways.

  • Movement, song, and the use of a variety of instruments will be an integral part of each class.
  • We will offer classes for children ages 1-3 to attend with their parent/grandparent and classes for children ages 4-5 (Pre-K). If there is enough interest, we are also willing to offer a baby/parent class.
  • Dates and times will be announced a month prior. Feel free to spread the word!

If you have questions about attending a class, or are interested in teaching a class, please contact Pastor Kari.
