| “We know there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we live.” Ecclesiastes 3:12
Over the last few years First Lutheran has developed a growing ministry to our adult members. Interestingly, the events are often engaging enough to include younger participants as well, so we hesitate to use labels or define this group by age.
There are numerous small groups, book studies, and Bible studies that meet throughout the year, as well as classes and larger scale group events. See Small Groups, check the weekly/monthly calendar, or call the church office for more information, 762-2196.
Making Sense of the Cross by David Lose
A 6-week adult study begins on Monday, January 9, 2012. Please come and join in the conversation as we ask questions like:
What’s with the cross?
What does the cross say about God?
What’s the big deal?
Did Jesus have to die?
The class is offered at 10:00 in the morning and 6:30 in the evening and will be led
by Pastor Greg and Pastor Marilee. Classes will meet on January 9, 16, 23, 30, and February 6 and 13. The cost for the book is $10. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or call the church office by December 30th so books can be ordered.
