Confirmation (7th-9th)
Wednesdays:

7th-8th Grade: 6:00-7:30 p.m.

9th Grade:  7:00-8:10 p.m.

10th Grade (Fall 2010);  7:30-8:15 p.m.
Students in grades 7-9 attend weekly confirmation classes during the school year, with Affirmation of Baptism occurring in October for 10th graders.

All students gather together for an opening and then meet as individual classes, followed by a time with their small group and adult guide.

Students study the Apostles Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, Key Bible stores and look at what it means to be a Lutheran.  Out approach is to connect faith and life in practical and useable ways.

Beyond spending time in class, all students are in involved in the worship life of First Lutheran, serve in various ways in the congregation, and are part of fellowship events.  This helps them to put into action what they are learning, and allows them time to get to know one another better.

During the 9th grade year each student chooses an adult mentor with whom they meet with and discuss the basics of faith.

Confirmation Schedule

Registration Fees:

In response to the growth we've experienced in Children's and Youth Ministries, for continued growth, and to remain fiscally responsible, we will be implementing a suggested registration fee for our programming.  At this time we will maintain fees for KICK and Confirmation but have decided NOT to implement a fee for Kingdom Kids Sunday School.  The suggested fee structure is as follows:  $20/KICK and Confirmation per person per program with a $60 maximum per family.
